Sosa Vintage

Sosa and Vintage, a fine combination.

The Sosa story began in the early 1900s, growing premium tobaccos in the Taquasco region of Cuba. By 1920, the family became one of Cuba's largest tobacco providers, opening the floodgates for full cigar production. Today, the Sosa name lives on, crafting some of the Dominican's tastiest small-batch boutique cigars.

Sosa Vintage is a fine cigar made with superior tobaccos and extensive aging. A dark, special Connecticut wrapper and 8-year-aged Dominican ligero long-fillers combine for a bold, full-flavored experience. Despite its bold, complex nature, additional post-roll aging has tamed these once (extremely) robust tobaccos to create noble balance and surprising smoothness. An elegant display of ligero - some might say graceful - expertly blended to offer an eventful and satisfying, medium-bodied Dominican handmade.

Customer Reviews of “Sosa Vintage”
“I visited the Sosa cigar shop and separate cigar bar while at Downtown Disney. Nothing that remarkable about either place. Premium cigars sold to tourists at premium prices. Really makes you appreciate CI. The Sosa Vintage is veiny and unattractive. Everything about it says bundle cigar. The smoking experience, though not bad, was patently unremarkable. I kept telling myself that each puff would be my last. Alas, I stuck it out, giving the Sosa Vintage Pyramid its due. Not surprisingly, the cigar became more full-bodied the longer I smoked, but not more full-flavored. I have a 5-pack and a few individuals I plan on giving away to friends who favor CT wrappers.”

“Okay, I received my order of Sosa Vintage Piramide #2 and I immediately loved the look and smell of the cigar. It's wrapper is a littler darker than most Connecticut wrappers; it almost looks like a Criollo. I had heard a lot of good things about Sosa cigars in the past, but I had never tried one before. I put them in my humi, but I couldn't wait. After just a "few" short days, I had to try one. I was on the fence about it; I didn't dislike it, but I wasn't sure if I liked it enough to buy it again. To be fair, I decided to do the "RIGHT" thing and let them rest a while LONGER in my humi. Boy, I'm glad that I did. When I smoked the second one I enjoyed it so much that I ended up smoking three of them on the same day. The flavor was fantastic, the burn was perfectly even, the draw was excellent, and it produced huge clouds of smoke! As it burned, the ash was white and lasted almost 3" before it fell off on its own. That, my friends, is the sign of a GREAT stick! Everything I had heard about Sosa cigars proved to be true and I learned my lesson; you have to let them rest in your humi for at least a week or two to truly appreciate this awesome cigar. Keep 'em coming CI...at the rate I'm smoking these I'll be ready to buy more of them very soon!”
