Quorum, here quality meets price.

Look up the word 'value' in the dictionary, and you just may find a bundle of Quorum pictured next to it. Made for J.C. Newman in the Torano family's Nicaraguan factory, these medium-bodied handmades are high quality smokes with a low-budget price. The all Nicaraguan blend issues a satisfying smoke with ample amounts of flavor and body that doesn't come close to breaking the bank.

Quorom is available in three varieties. A shade-grown Ecuador Connecticut wrapper,  a dark Ecuador sun-grown, or a rich Nicaraguan maduro.

Holy Grail of Budget Cigars
I have been smoking the Classic and Shade for quite some time now so when I found out a Maduro was on the way from JC Newman I was ecstatic. When I received my bundle I was not disappointed. This cigar outperforms some I have smoked at 2 and 3 times the price. In my world Quorum is the Holy Grail of budget cigars. This stick is well constructed from cap to foot. Each stick gives you that smooth semi-sweet Maduro flavor those of us not afraid of the dark know and love. Job Well Done.

A Fine Daily Cigar
I never could afford a $10 dollar cigar every day. It's been only on birthdays and Christmas that friends and family give me a few of the great name brands that cost $10-15 dollars a stick. There is something to the old adage "you get what you pay for" and I see why the better smokes cost more. Quorum Shade Grown Churchills and Torpedos have become my favorite daily cigar. I only smoke one or two a day and I find these cigars to have a good draw, and fine medium taste. It's a good enjoyable smoke, burns evenly like higher quality cigars and you'll appreciate the low cost. I highly recommend this cigar for those who enjoy the more expensive cigars but can't burn up that kind of money.

Consistently good!
Much better than the daily dog-walker, these sticks are the best bang-for-the-buck out there. Good draw, good flavor and a nice, even burn. I've been enjoying Quorums for about a year now, and I'm amazed at the consistent quality, regardless of size.

Good every day smoke with no frills...
This is a good mildish to a low medium smoke with mostly tobacco base for flavors with some woodsy flavor. They tend to burn well, not to fast, hold a good inch of ash at a time that comes off in solid chunks. The construction is for the most part pretty solid, however you will want to be careful sliding these out of the cello because the bands tend to stick and slide on the stick which can damage the wrapper. You need to crinkle the cello a bit to loosen it up to prevent this. Overall, a nice every day type smoke for a good price without any complexity. Just a good old average flavor cigar, no fancy transitions.

this is one of the worst cigars i have ever smoked. they burn terrible and they taste horrible. lots of worm holes up the middle so the draw is sometimes very hard. would not reccomend these to anyone.

Good All Around Everyday Smoke
In between my better stogies that I enjoy with morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and/or after dinner, Quorum is a great smoke for everything else. Easy draw and easy on the palate while doing my yardwork, gardening and workshop activities...not to mention easy on the wallet, too. Recommend you give it a try.

A Fine Every Day Cigar
I've been smoking Quorum Shade Grown Torpedos and Churchills for some time now. They have a good draw from the start - I have yet to have one packed too tight. The wrapper contruction quality is good and the flavor is almost equal to a Rocky Patel Edge or Torano Exodus 1959, two of my favorites from the Cigar Shop. For a very reasonably priced everyday smoke, where you may have more than one a day, Quorum is a great choice.

Customer Testimonials
Great tasting mild cigar. Awesome price also.
Love them! Highly recommend for your everyday smoke. Great flavor, good burn, good draw, always a consistent dependable smoke for me. Great cigar!
One of the smoothest smokes so far. Although I am new to this, this stick was extremely smooth, and creamy. This will be on my list from now on.
I find these cigars very pleasing for the price and just received an order containing another bundle of 20. I'll always find room in my humidor for these cigars.
In my book the best quality vs price cigar out there bar none, I have smoked the classic Quorum for years with a Shade mixed in every now and again for good measure. You simply can't find another cigar at this price point (I buy the corona size) with construction and smokeability this good. Frankly I still can't figure out how JC Newman does it. Buy the Shades if you prefer a milder flavored/bodied stick or the Classic if you like a little more umph. Neither one will disappoint for money spent.
This is one of the more impressive sub $25.00 bundles I've ever had. They're not super exquisite in the taste dept, but they're not bad either. They're fairly medium bodied and they always burn perfect. However, the thing that impresses me most about Quorum is the construction. Nice looking wrapper and they're a bit squared off on the end/foot. If you have to go below $29.99 and want a reliable handmade, then buy these.
I am new to cigars and Quorum was recommended to me by a cigar store owner. I purchased a bundle of 20 (5.5" x 43) for $22.99 + shipping $5.99 and they arrived 4 days later in good shape. I put them in my homemade humidor (which ranges from 65% to 70% humidity and 70 degrees) for a couple of weeks. Just enjoyed the first one this weekend and it was relaxing. The flavors were nice and burned evenly and lasted about 30 minutes. I will order from CI again and may come back to the Quorum again after trying some others.
I usually buy these Quorum cigars at the shop I go to for 2.99 a stick and I got 20 here for only 30.00. That is just about half price, except for the shipping cost. I have no complaints about this deal.
Cheap, straight fwd, hands down one of the best bargain quickies in the negative weather; too cold for gordos! Def fav cheap guy and nice handout without looking like a cheap bastid :)
High quality and great flavor without the high cost per stick. A great choice and great value for an everyday smoke.
The Quorum Corona is a wonderful cigar. I found them in a cigar store in Delaware and liked them so much I started ordering them from CI. They're not strong, stay lit, have a pleasant taste and you just can't beat the price. I gave a pack to a good buddy, and he raved about them. Give them a try I don't believe you'll be disappointed.
I just wonder how many people give bad reviews to cigars and know nothing about humidors and types of tobaccos. Quorum cigars have Ecuadorian wrappers, Nicaraguan binders and fillers. If you are a fan of this 3 way tobacco mixture, and humidify these cigars correctly, you are foolish to spend more money on a cigar with a fancy band and name! These are 4.5 out of 5 in my book.
Excellent basic smoke! Good smoking; never disappointed!
I have smoked two bundles of 20 Quorum Robusto & was not pleased with them. I found them to be hard on the draw & not burn evenly. Also they were sold as mild/medium but they seemed to be stronger than advertized & felt very hot to the fingers while smoking. I will definately select a diferent cigar from now on.
5 stars for the Quorum Shade. A good Toro size smoke. I prefer my cigars mild and this hits the spot. Also the perfect size to enjoy on a lunch break at work. Discovered these at Total Wines and have been a fan since.
Great smoke. Very mild but tasty.
I know there is a medium and a mild in the Quorums, I happen to prefer the mild. Unfortunately, there is no real differentiation as to which is the light wrapper mild and the dark, more robust blend. Other than the 50/50 chance of getting the right one, the order was fine and cigars of exceptional quality. Now I just have to remember, I think, that the shade grown is more mild.
Delicious smoke but are not long fillers.
Picked one up at a local shop to see what the fuss is about. Honestly, I'm still not sure. There's nothing particularly special about them, though there isn't anything offensive either. I picked up the torpedo and v - cut it. I felt the draw was a bit tight, and it didn't produce as much smoke as I had hoped. Flavor is run-of-the-mill, burn was even enough (I would give these another shot since I match lit this one), and it dropped ash 3 times, each time about 2" fell. My wife commented that the smoke was a little offensive, unlike other sticks I've smoked. All in all, for the price it wasn't bad, but for me it probably isn't my every day smoke.
I have smoked about 20 of these cigars and I will give my honest opinion. Very good price, has medium flavor and is very smooth. Burn uneven but it will correct itself. In the third half flavors pick up and more spice comes in. Very spicy in the retrohale. Give it a week in the humidor after you buy them. Packing is a little loose but it has good and enjoyable flavors.
A tasty cheap smoke. Placing my next order now!
My daily stick. Ran into these by accident & glad I did. My humi is never holding less than a bundle of each (torpedo shade & natural). The absolute best buy for the cash. Great stick for garage/yard work & best handouts around. No need to be embarrassed passing them out & the $ makes you feel like Santa.
Nice smoke. Good value. I enjoy a mild to medium smoke and this is a really good choice. A bit light on the draw with the corona. I keep them a more humid than other sticks, to help the wrap stay intact. Occasionally a wrapper will fail, but for the price I can overlook that. I'll buy more as an everyday smoke.
Excellent everyday smoke. Nice mild cigar. Robust flavor. Excellent price.
Smoked my first one, a Toro. Not too bad, burned a little uneven at first, at 2/3 done it had issues staying lit.
Not bad...not bad at all, in fact - pretty tasty.
This is one of my favorite cigars. It's a shame that there name is not prevalent. I bought them thinking they'd just be a cheap cigar, but I had to give them a try. I was very impressed to say the least. I will continue to buy these over and over again. Definitely give them a try.
Ran into these at a Duty Free in Canada and was pleasantly surprised. Smooth smoke for a couple of bucks, had to buy more to have on hand.
Nice mild smoke for the price.
This is a fantastic cigar for the money. The Corona is great for the ride home after a long day at work.
Negative 5 stars. These cigars are poorly rolled and fall apart as they are smoked. What was left on the floor ended up in these. I guess you get what you pay for.
My wife and I were in Barbados about 6 weeks ago. I bought Royal Barbados ($10 a stick) and then, at another venue, my wife bought me some expensive cigars; as appreciation, the clerk tossed in a Quorum Robusto. Tonight, I finally got around to smoking it. It was a very consistent smoke from beginning to end. It dropped ash twice, and it had an inch plus ash on it when I finished it--about an inch and a quarter from the end. The burn was even, and I never had to do touch up lights. It is flavorful. I do not have a discerning palate, but the woodsy smoke was unmistakable and lasted throughout the smoke. I tasted spice, rather a white pepper sort of finish. The draw was good throughout and produced a decent volume of smoke. I smoke Alec Bradley American Classic Torpedo ($5 per stick). At that price, I can't smoke many. I can get 4 Quorum for 1 Alec Bradley. The Quorum is not as good a smoke, of course. There was a hint of harshness at times which is never there with AB. But for the price?! Where has this cigar been all of my life? For the money, this is a GREAT cigar. Try it; you'll like it.
Great value and a very nice finish!
Not overly impressed.
I thought the smoke was dry, the wrapper did fail, but the binder seemed to hold. over all, I think there is a better cigar out there for the price, this wouldn't be my first choice for a few dollars, however it is difficult to beat the price...
Back in May of 2009 I wrote to implore CI to take on this brand and I am pleased to see that they took me up on it. Quorum cigars won't win any fancy pageant but they will give you a good cigar at a great price. Well made by the folks at JC Newman and one of the best bundles out there still today.
I was pleasantly surprised by these cigars. Most of the cigars I've been buying from my local shop have been in the $8-$15 range per stick (Casa Fernandez, Pardron 1964, Montecristo Epic), but I picked up a couple of these when I was looking for a cheap smoke to carry around in my pocket. I wasn't expecting much, but the burn was reasonably even, the flavor was good, although not amazing, and there was a fairly huge volume of dense smoke for a cheap-o corona size. All together, they're a very decent walkin-around cigar. I had no idea until a few minutes ago that CI carried them, and at about 1/4 the price per stick of the local tobacco shop. As soon as I get my new humi set up I'll be buying a bundle or two of these to keep for my pocket case and for when the guys come over.
I love the mild flavor of the Quorum, and the Robusto is is just the right size for a short smoke break.
Great cigar! Nice, easy draw and mild/med.... always fresh from CI.
Have smoked Quorum for a while now. Generally good. I like corona better that robusto or larger....
....Tried my very first non-Cubans, Quorum Corona being one of them. Great value indeed as mentioned by other reviewers. To me it is a very generous cigar in every aspect. Smooth, tasty and satisfying with mild and mellow character. Notes of leather throughout and getting just a bit spicy and notes of coffee towards the end. Thanks, again, to CI’s staff for their great care. HG of Tehran, Iran to be exact!
Quorum is by far one of the better every day cigar that is easy on the wallet. With Corona size some issues with the wrapper cracking towards the end with a few sticks here and there. Went with the Toro size and had not had that issue so far. I would say try these bad boys out and if you get an issue with some of the smaller sizes give the larger size a try and you will be in for a real good treat.
A tasty smoke.....
The pre-light taste and smell of this stick was impressive, with a great leathery smell and a hint of spice on the lips. Also it came with a cool gold and purple band displaying the Quorum Logo. The first third of this cigar had a mild to medium body flavor holding onto that spicy leathery taste, while continuing to burn even and razor sharp. Ash held very well throughout averaging about 1-1/2” before falling. Before finishing the second third, the taste started transitioning to more of a woody to leathery note but the draw and smoke were holding strong. The last third continued with that woody taste losing any hint of sweetness that was around at one point. I was able to finish this cigar without any need of a touch up light. I let it die out with about an inch and a half left giving me a little more than an hour of enjoyable smoke. Get this one, it's worth it.
First off I have to say I paired this stick like any every day cigar with a domestic draft beer hanging with the guys in the bar scene. Not exactly my first choice of beer or my first choice in a cigar. But I did look at this cigar as something you could light up when out partying and having a good time with friends. The Quorum of choice was a cigar that falls in a great price range of the everyday smoker and constructed with a Nicaraguan binder and filler wrapped in an Ecuadorian sun grown wrapper, the Quorum 4. The pre-light taste and smell of this stick was impressive with a cool gold and purple band displaying the Quorum Logo with a great leathery smell with a hint of spice on the lips. I clipped the cap with a standard guillotine cutter and did the initial light. This cigar came out of the “shoot” burning and drawing like a champ with hints of a spicy woody flavor and great smoke. The first third of this cigar had a mild to medium body flavor holding onto that spicy leathery taste while continuing to burn even and razor sharp. Before moving into the second third hints of nutty and sweet flavors were beginning to come out. Ash held very well throughout averaging about 1-1/2” before falling. Before finishing the second third the taste started transitioning to more of a woody to leathery note but the draw and smoke were holding strong. The last third continued with that woody taste losing any hint of sweetness that was around at one point in the final part of the first third. I was able to finish this cigar without any need of a touch up light before I let it die out with about an inch and a half left giving me a little more than an hour of enjoyable smoke. Overall I believe this is a great cigar for everyday or one that you could count on during a party night that will have a consistent burn, not move from good to really bad toward the end and; if you’re Buds want to smoke one of yours it won’t break the bank...."Enjoy the Smoke"
2003 I started smoking cigars, started with machine mades then grew up. Bought my first Quorum at a cigar store, mainly for price. Ten years later still smoking Quorums, have 6 humidors, one is just for Quorums. Enjoy most cigars, CAO, 5Vegas, Rocky, Cohiba, but still like the flavor and consistency of Quorums. Little side note, was walking down Fremont Street in Vegas one night smoking a Quorum, had somebody tap me on the shoulder. He wanted to know what cigar it was because it smelled so good. Told him, gave him the band so he knows and sent him to the cigar store I know that carries them. If that doesn't tell how good a Qurum is nothing will.
Good smoke for the Price! A bit loose wrap, but smoke very even. Great every day cigar.
I picked up 5 of these sticks when I was on vacation and had forgotten the cigars that I had laid out to bring with me. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on cigars that I had not read about or tried. I bought them because they were only $2.75/stick. I was very surprised and pleased with the quality and most of all the mildness and taste of these cigars. I think I have definitely found my new everyday smokes. Very nice for the newbie or the seasoned smoker that likes mild to medium and wants all the flavor that the more expensive cigars gives you. Try them.... I think you'll agree.
Bought the Corona size and tried one right out of the box. Nice draw, a little loose on the packaging, quite a lot of favor, great value! Thx CI. Mark
5 Stars. Consistent, well-made cigars. These are sold at the PX and I've smoked literally hundreds of Quorum cigars. If you want to keep $ in your wallet yet be pleased with your cigar, you can't go wrong with these. Cigars International has the best prices around, the best shipping around, but they need to rework their spelling of "Quorum". :)
