Padilla Reserva Maduro

A magnificent maduro compliments of Padilla.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt encountered a Padilla cigar or two. Known for crafting small-batch boutique handmades, the brand is no stranger to the limelight or 90+ ratings. And the good news is the man behind the brand Ernesto Padilla, has recently joined forces with the Oliva family to deliver some new and impressive specimens.

Reserva Maduro is carefully crafted in the Oliva family's esteemed factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Dark and alluring, this cigar is bursting with long-fillers from Esteli and Jalapa. Rich, fertile tobaccos grown in black volcanic soils and then patiently fermented. Draped over this hearty core, a San Andres maduro wrapper, skillfully aged to achieve a dark even color and bold character. Together, these tobaccos strike up a swarm of smoke containing smooth but bold notes of coffee, dark chocolate, espresso, and a spicy-sweet finish. Oh yes enjoyable indeed, add another feather in Padilla's impressive cap.

My favorite cigar so far
Awesome cigar! The taste is amazing. From my first puff I knew this was something special. I prefer the 60 ring gauge, something about the smaller gauges don't have the same taste.

Very Nice cigar ....
I'm not a cigar expert, so I'm not going to write some sort of adjective filled expose here, but I know what I like and I like this cigar. The construction is solid, the burn is even, and the flavor is rich from beginning to end. I've come to expect this from Padilla, and this cigar is no exception. If you like a good maduro, I think you will be impressed with this one.

Wonderful robust cigar! My fave.
So far this is my favorite cigar. I've had $1 'specials' and $25 quality cigars but the Padilla keep getting my money.
Customer Testimonials
I never heard of Padilla until a recent New Years Eve party. My cousin knows the owners and they graciously gave him a box of the Toros. Man, let me tell you; it was love at first smoke. Great draw, never had to relight and smooth till the end. This is a cigar that will not disappoint hands down.
Bought these on a special promotion and figured I would try them as I really like Maduros. Very smooth all the way to the end. Shared with a couple of friends and all the responses were very positive. Nice easy draw and never had to relight. Will purchase again.
These are very good medium-body cigars having subtle notes of espresso and a faint sweetness. Overall we'll balanced and very enjoyable, I've had more expensive cigars that could not compare to these Padilla Maduro's. Try them you will not be disappointed.
