I really want to like this cigar but the flavors--like mild tobacco, some woodiness, and earth--just don’t do it for me. The smoke has a thin mouth feel, and in my experience the 2012 tends to burn crooked. A few reviews state that this cigar exhibits some sweetness; I detected none. I just felt like there was nothing about the 2012 compelling me to take that next puff.”

“It appears as if Don Rolando and his grandson Carlos Diez have come up with another good one. This good-looking and well-made cigar is, at least for me, another very welcome addition to the Puros Indios/Cuba Aliados family. For me, it's a bit-more-than-medium bodied cigar with a very pleasant taste. The burn is quite even and the only very small complaint would be a somewhat flakey ash. Now, if they'd only get the Cuba Aliados Cabinet on the market.....”

“I should have let this one rest in my box before smoking it right out of the shipping box, however once I got into it this cigar opened right up. Bitter sweet, earthy and raw cocoa round out the Puro 2012. A nice spicy smooth draw and box press dark wrapper resemble the Padron 64. It all builds up to a full flavored smoke with an acidic ending on the tongue. The ash is indeed a bit too flakey. I may buy a box.”
