Perdomo Grand Cru 2006 Maduro
Roll with Perdomo's 'Cru'
First there was Grand Cru, a rare blend utilizing only the finest hand-selected tobaccos from Nick Perdomo's 2004 crop. Proving to be an excellent year, Nick Perdomo planned a new crop in 2006 to carry the torch forward. Enter the next phase of Grand Cru cigars, Grand Cru 2006.
The Grand Cru Double Maduro is a de-lish morsel from start to finish. It all begins with a chocolaty brown Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper oozing with ample oils. This sultry leaf houses a Nicaraguan maduro binder, and an all Cuban-seed core of Nicaraguan long-fillers. Before rolling, these fillers are set down for a 9 month slumber in Spanish cedar aging rooms, allowing the tobaccos to achieve their full potential. The end result is a medium to full-bodied cigar exploding with notes of espresso, dark chocolate, spices, and a slightly sweet finish. Pack all this into the beefy 60-ring frame, and you've got a slow burning top-notch jawbreaker from Tabacalera Perdomo.
