A Nestor Miranda & Don Pepin co-op!
Before you start scratching the old noggin wondering what the heck Holguin means, let me drop a little knowledge. Holguin is the Cuban hometown of Nestor Miranda: Holguín, Oriente. This is where he began his journey as a young chap into the world of cigars. Evolving into a master of tobacco, his Cuban-esque creations are no stranger to high praise and 90-ratings. And now that the brief history lesson is over, enter Nestor Miranda Holguin.
Each cigar utilizes a lush blend of superior Nicaraguan tobaccos carefully hand-crafted in Don Pepin’s most renowned factory - famous for its industry leading 90+ rated blends, and uber-high quality control. The core bursts with rich, aged Cuban-seed long-fillers, nestled inside a bold Habano binder. This rich bouquet is highlighted by an extra-fermented Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, utilizing a top-secret, old-school Cuban method. This process yields a super-flavorful leaf brimming with character. The only downside to this method are a few slight color variations. But trust me when I say you’ll forget all about that once you take flame to foot. Expect notes of earth, hearty spices and just a tick of sweetness to accompany medium to full-bodied smoke. Slow-burning, cool, and complex from beginning to end, these tasty Pepin made cigars could fetch a pretty penny. But thanks to your friends at CI you can grab ’em for around $3 apiece!
