As smooth as they come, MISTAKES is a wonderful everyday cigar.

This “smooth operator” is a dynamo that I can barely keep in stock. In fact I’ve got tons of customers who order nothing but this cigar. It’s easy to see why. MISTAKES give you premium flavor and terrific construction at a bargain price. They’re super-smooth, nice and mild, made in a top-notch factory, and darn cheap. A beauty that’s simply a great everyday cigar. Have I mentioned how inexpensive they are? Made in Nicaragua for CI exclusively, MISTAKES are gorgeous cigars rolled with Connecticut-shade wrappers and Dominican mixed fillers. Trust me, if you like pleasant, smooth, well-constructed cigars with a perfect draw....not to mention a cheap every day price, then this one’s for you. Overall it’s an extraordinarily compelling cigar for the money.

Customer Reviews of “MISTAKES”
After only two cigars from my first order,a recent second order of torpedoes (MISTAKES) is making it's case for becoming my every-other day cigar!
JD of Elgin, IL
Can I just say----I love them (MISTAKES)!! Haven't been this excited since I smoked a macanudo. Taste, draw, ash...all perfect. Will be ordering these as a standard shipment. Well done!!!
DK of Mt. Holly Springs, PA
A great value cigar in the robusto (Mistakes). It has all the qualities, easy draw, even burn, good consistent flavor and decent construction. The after taste will sometimes linger but that's the tradeoff for all the good in it.
LS of Franklin, TN
A smooth and flavorful smoke with a nice, even burn. Really rich, creamy smoke. I nurtured these babies in the box for a good two months before smoking and they were outstanding...and you just can't beat the price.
MJ of Chicago, IL
Bought a bundle of these and quite frankly I am disappointed. Burn evenly but quickly and smell rather good, but taste is very mediocre and these puppies get soft really fast. I shoulda spent a little more and bought some decent smokes. I am sure my cigar-ignorant golf buddies will appreciate these soon-to-be "freebies" handed to them even if I do not.
CJ of Averill Park, NY
I love a good cigar while I'm relaxing and usually spend $4 to $8 per stick to find something satisfying. It was your "As smooth as they come!" remark about MISTAKES that caught my eye,(I like a smooth cigar), so I tried them. WOW! Was I surprised. This cigar is as good as any $5 cigar I've smoked. Keep'em coming friends! EB of Berwick, Pa.

I've enjoyed these cigars (MISTAKES) Churchills so much so have re-ordered several times. Had my brother-in-law try and hooked him. He now buys them himself. Taste like a more expensive Dominican (LaGloria). Sometimes they have "soft" spots but that doesn't affect the way they burn or taste.
RB of Ellington, CT
Mistakes ? Why do you call these Cigars mistakes. Well, I have smoked better, but I can't remember any cigar I have ever injoyed smoking, better for such a resonal price. Thats why I look forward to receiving your monthly Catalog, there is always something interesting to read about Cigars from around the Planet. Your writing Staff is great. I love sitting on my terrace, smoking a great Cigar and reading your Catalog. They are informant, and humorous. Great job guys, your why I love C I International. I Thank You.....
JG of Wilton, NY
I normally don't smoke much, but these cigars (MISTAKES) were so good, I went through them in no time. They all burned perfectly, and I enjoyed the taste of almost all of them. I think maybe there were one or two that didn't taste great in four bundles. They taste better than many 4 buck a piece sticks out there.
AM of Buffalo Grove, IL
I was shocked when I fired the first one up (MISTAKES). From the review you tend to get the idea that this is a lightweight cigar. But these are more like welterweights with some spice. Very smooth and nice.
BV of Columbia, TN
Just received an order of Henrik Kelner "Mistakes", the torpedo size . This is the second time that I've ordered and I just love 'em ! I just think for the money that they're the best cigar. Don't tell anybody how good they are because I don't want the price to go up. Thank you!
JC of South Bend, IN
These cigars (Mistakes) are certainly not a "mistake"! I like every thing about the torpedos. The construction, the color, the draw, the smooth and consistant taste, and last but certainly not least, the price. Excellent cigar for the money!
RH of Springfield, IL
Wow! Definitely change the name (MISTAKES)! By no means a MISTAKE. Very pleasant taste, VERY smooth, even burn all the way down. A definite every day cigar.
DF of Swartz Creek, MI
I've smoked close to 200 of these cigars and have had only 2 duds ! They have a great draw, a nice even burn, and pack a decent flavor. I like to slip on a band from one of the 'super premiums', hand them out to some friends, then listen to them pontificate on the virtues of 'such' brand. Never ceases to make me grin ! This is probably the most consistent of any brand I've smoked. I keep at least 20 in my box at all times.

I help run a cigar club at Fire HQ were I'm assigned and we try to stick to a 2 to 3 dollar price point. Thanks to CI I'm able to get some great cigars and keep the troops happy. I tried these "MISTAKES" a couple years ago and recalled they were pretty good so I ordered a bundle for the club.those schmucks loved them!!!now I have to keep the humi stocked with em, makes sense cuz one look at my shift and you'll see we look like GODS MISTAKE!! but we get the job done just like these cigars.thanks CI !!!
RL of Bridgeport, CT
Mistakes?? The only mistake here is the one I made not ordering these sooner. A great cigar at a great price!!
JM of Cumbola, PA
Wow. Great price, Great cigar.(CI Mistakes) I was surprised. This will be one that refills the humidor. Can't go wrong here. Enjoy Boys.
PM of Surprise, AZ
Don't try these cigars (MISTAKES) because they are cheap try them because they are great cigars! They are as smooth as they come and very similar in flavor to Monti Cristo or Buterra. Don't let the name put you off!
TW of Richmond, VA
I tried a bundle of the "Mistakes" line of cigars after reading all of the other reviews. I have to say overall this cigar is my all time favorite for the money. I've tried most of the premium mild Dominican cigars out there and I keep coming back to my go to "mistake". Well done CI!
RC of Temecula, CA
Very nice smoke! MISTAKES are no mistake!
LD of Rockwood, TN
Based on the reviews I decided to try these. I mostly smoke RP, Padron, Don Pepin, etc. I was looking for something decent to hand out to friends when they stop by. I got tired of giving out premium cigars to people who can't appreciate them. Well, I tried one of these last night and I was pretty much blown away. Mellow and silky smooth the whole way through. Nice draw and ash the entire distance. I highly recommend these any day.
D of LBoston, MA
I just received my latest shipment and have smoked about ten of them. Damn good everyday smokes, which has always been my experience with this brand. In fact, I'm heading outside to my patio to toast one right now. I'd recommend "Mistakes" to any cigar guy who just wants a plain yet satsifying smoke to soothe his soul at the end of a long and hectic day.
RO of Alvarado, TX
Well I tried giving these several tries, but each time it seemed like I had taken a big lick off the desert plains...
CA of Capistrano Beach, CA
There is no B.S. here. I have smoked very expensive cigars over the years and for the past year i have been smoking the CI Mistakes. I will put this cigar up against any of those expensive cigars. Perfect draw, smooth taste, and you can put that cigar down and come back to it several minits later and it is still burning. Please dont raise the price C.I.
JC of irvine, CA
Ordered my first bundle of these a week ago and smoked one while loading the humidor. Great draw and flavor. A good and tasty smoke that will be a regular in the rotation, particularly for golf outings at a price that you can surely stand to pass a few around.
AG of Americus, GA
For the price a very nice smoke. Good taste even burn. My only complaint would be inconsistent draw, either to loose or too tight. Only every other one draws just right, but for the price, I can't really complain.
MP of Ocean Shores, WA
Okay, so I admit to bad-mouthing these initially. I got a bundle of the robustos 8 months ago, and found them to be a bit on the sour side; not my cup of tea. So, I let them sit (neglected and forgotten) in a baggy at the bottom of my cooler, until they caught my eye this morning. I had one on the drive in to work this morning, and nubbed it. I'm not saying this is an excellent cigar, but for what it is, it performed extremely well: draw was perfect, burn was perfect, flavor was actually good with no longer any sourness that I could detect, volume of smoke was ridiculously good. If you purchase these, let them sit. I most likely will not buy these again, but I promise I will bad-mouth them no longer.
TT of Vancouver, WA
The Mistake Corona is my every day, go-to cigar. Its got a great burn, great taste, fits well in the hand, just perfect for Sunday afternoon grilling! Just make sure you let these fine babies settle in the humidor for a week or two before you smoke 'em--you won't be disappointed. One of the best cigars for the money in my book.
....All I want in a cigar is a nice mild taste, good draw, and good burn. MISTAKES fit the bill quite nicely. I like the Churchills a little better than the Torpedos, but I've finally found a great go-to cigar at a great price. I've read that description a hundred times on other cigars, but this is the first time I've found one that delivers every time so far.
DA of Dracut, MA
Purchased the Robustos. Nice and smooth smokes. Found them to be more on the mild side but still very enjoyable everyday smoke.
DP of Northford, CT
These are a very tasty smoke ... very mild ... BUT, NOT well constructed. I have smoked only 1 of the 20 I bought, but it was very soft and loose and several others feel to be the same. Maybe some time in the humi will help. Good starter smoke.
Not as good as used to be, but still a good cigar.
RM of Las Vegas, NV
Amazing cigar for the price! Very smooth, medium flavorful smoke, even burn. Great buy will buy again.
SW of Granger, IN
I must be losing my taste for these cigars. I am a confirmed mild smoker, but this latest batch has left me un-interested. Taste is a little spicy, aroma is good, but this batch has had an uneven smoke and seems a little soft. For the price, it's still a good smoke, but I'm just not liking them like I used to.
WK of Alexandria, VA
A very tasty cigar at a very good price. You won't go wrong with these.
These cigars are a great value. They are one of my everyday go to's and you can't beat the price for a torpedo.
MR of Rancho Santa Marg, CA
These are surprisingly good cigars! I don't have the gift for words that many of the writers on this website possess, so I'll just stop by saying I'd definitely buy these again.
Great cigar that's all I order.
MB of granite city, IL
I ordered a bundle of the churchills. All I can say is that these things are everything they're advertised to be and more! Nice mild-medium smoke, good flavor, VERY solid construction on every single stick in my first bundle. Considering the price, I put these in my top five and would definitely choose them over much, much more expensive sticks. I love 'em, simple as that. Second bundle is on it's way!
SR of Waverly, IL
I have a humidor (the secret to all cigars as far as better flavor) and everything humidifies for 20 days and I just gotta tell you...I have a bunch of expensive cigars, (I used to smoke Cohibas), but I keep going back to 'Mistakes' and I cannot believe how good they are! I don't know why, I don't know how to describe it, but they are just really nice if you like a very mild, nice tasting, cigar!
FJ of Christiansted, VI
I'm kind of new to the cigar thing. I like the mild-med. cigars, and a friend told me to try your MISTAKES, and since my first draw on one I have to say I am very pleased, ok happy!! Nice stick and will be ordering more for my rotation. Thanx CI

Do I look like a guineau-pig? Well, I sure feel like one. This month, I've been given the "pleasure" to try a brand that got messed up. Yes, this thing was destined for the dumpster and it gets put on my desk. Gee thanks!

You can read the story of how we got these by clicking the link above. In short, it's designed to be a Knock-off of the Dominican Montecristo in flavor and appearance. Unfortunately, they goofed (b/c we could really use an alternative to the high-priced Montecristo.) It's a a mixed-filler cigar with a slightly burned CT-shade leaf (that looks like a Sumatra instead), loosely filled, but pretty. Yes, I said pretty. It's not offensive in appearance, the name is offensive - Montecristo "Mistakes". I can't smoke a friggin mistake. With great hesitation, and a mean-ass look from the higher-ups, I look forward to this like I look forward to preparing my tax returns.

I'm trying the torpedo "Mistake" at 6" and about 50 ring. It resembles the Montecristo No. 2 in shape-only. The wrapper is somewhat silky like the Montecristo, but it's too damn dark. It lights up like a torch - keep your arms and legs inside the moving tram, this is going to be quite a ride. The cigar is lit in 2 seconds MAX. Whoah!!! The smoke that bellows from this baby just smoked out my office mate. Sorry Larry - mucho smoko! I wasn't expecting it, my office cube now looks likes a head shop. I could really use a lava lamp to add to the ambience. Anyway, I digress.

The smoke is fulfilling (and a little overwhelming), but quite mild in flavor. The burn is perfect - dark grey ash that holds surprisingly well for a mixed-filler cigar. The flavor holds its own, but won't knock your socks off. It burns fast and smooth. With the ridiculously low temperatures we've had up here in the Northeast, you can get in and out without freezing your butt off. I warn you, don't light this inside, your wife will flip - I'm not kidding about the smoke. The taste leaves a slight tingle in the back of the tongue. I can't identify it and it's not offensive - it actually adds a bit to the flavor.

I can't emphasize enough how well this thing burns. I only have 1/4 left and it has held very well. Other than the loose-fill, you would never know this is a mixed-filler cigar. It's a shame this was a mistake. We could sell these for $60 or $70 a bundle if it wasn't a "mistake." I need to talk to management, we need to change the name.

I just found out they're selling these for about $30 a bundle. That's a good deal. Since I lost my shirt last week at poker, I'm going to bring a bundle of these, take off the bands, and tell them their Cuban Montecristos. They'll never know the difference. Don't think of this brand as a "Mistake" and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh, how do I summarize thee:
- mucho smoko! Don't smoke this in the house
- silky, Sumatra-looking Connecticut-shade wrapper
- quick smoke
- good theory, bad execution
- well worth a $1.50 per stick
