La Zona Habano

Get in the zone.

New from Erik Espinosa, the man behind brands such as: 601, Murcielago and Cubao, comes his latest endeavor, La Zona. Named after his boutique factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, La Zona takes an all substance approach to deliver a high end handmade brimming with character.

Each La Zona Habano comes packed with a rich, all-medley core of Nicaraguan long-fillers, and is draped in a feisty Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. This recipe serves up impressive results, as each puff reveals cool crisp notes of oak, leather, cream, roasted nuts, and a toasty sweet finish. Expect the body to remain medium to full throughout, as La Zona is consistently smooth and balanced, from beginning to end.

First time trying them and impressed, med-full body taste and consistent all the way with no hot spots or sweet spots...it was good and I'll get a bundle next time.

Got one when I order from the 5 star sampler (601 Serie 5-Star II Sampler). When I took it out of the wrapper my immediate first thought was cocoa. I had to light it up cuz it smelled that good. Well...it tastes as good as it smells. Right out of the gate you get great flavor and tons of smoke. Very smooth and creamy to start and then you'll notice the slightest of spice. It's very subtle though. The draw was almost perfect and the burn was great. I have to say that it stayed consistent right through to the nub. I really enjoyed this cigar. You owe it to yourself to try one.

Got one in a 601 sampler pack and boy was this thing tasty. Flavor all the way through and smelled great.

Received one of these in a 601 sampler. For some reason I decide to use a punch instead of a cut, which I believe was a wise decision. At the present I have a inch and a half ash on it, with a perfect burn. Picking up cedar through the nostril, with a floral woodsy flavor. Based on construction, even burn, and smooth flavor to the end I would rate this an 89. Worth having some in the humidor.
