Imperiales Maduro by Leon Jimenes

Don’t let the price fool you.

Psst, hey you, yeah you…I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Imperiales Maduro by Leon Jimenes is way underpriced. How often can you get a premium cigar using top-shelf tobaccos and made at the Dominican’s oldest cigar factory for a price that borders on the ridiculous? Imperiales Maduro, add it to your cart, smoke ‘em by the dozen, and remember who gave you the 411 on this tasty gem.

Imperiales Maduro comes cloaked in a dark and oily Cubra maduro wrapper, grown in Brazil from Cuban-seed, and under the sheets you’ll find an Ecuadoran binder and premium long-fillers from the Cibao Valley, Dominican Republic. Mild to medium-bodied, this delectable treat offers up flavors of honey, cream, leather, chocolate, earth, and cedar for an enjoyable stick any time of day. We’re sure once you try Imperiales Maduro, it will become a mainstay in your everyday rotation.

Wow...not good at first!
Some people said these were everyday smokers. Even if I only made $20k a year, my choice would be to smoke bad pipe tobacco or nothing at all. That being said, for as dirt cheap as they are, I'm going to let them chill out in my humidor for 6 months and see if they're at least good enough for the person that shows up to the party and has never had a cigar before...but still wants to hang with the rest of the guys.

Pretty tasty
I got the toro size on a special and I really liked them. Then I ordered the robusto when I ran out. The robusto is a bit spicy with a good solid medium/high kick. Wrappers are rich colored with medium veins. Burn is good, flavor is solid from start to finish. I do agree Dominican cigars trend a bit milder than other cigars but there is a nice smoothness to these that pairs well with the spicy parts. Maduro flavor is up front in good amounts I will buy these as long as the blend is available so of course I will recommend as a buy!

Customer Testimonials
A solid, well made, enjoyable smoke. Glad I snagged another box before they ran out.
A big fat maduro gordo robusto (4" X 54) for a buck & 8 pennies? Naturally you would think these must be lacking, but you would be wrong to assume that. Are they a Padron? No, but they sure are worth the price & are surprisingly flavorful. Well constructed, heavy in the hand, these make the perfect yard 'gar & last for an hour! I can see why they sold out in a New York minute. I will be looking for them to reappear & would gladly reorder them. I am aging a few & can't wait to find out how they respond. Highly recommended to medium bodied maduro smokers & anyone who likes to save money.
Great cigar for the price. I picked up 5 boxes of these at $32 a box. I almost felt like I stole them they were only $1.29 a cigar. Great flavors of earth, sweet spice and a solid core of pepper. The cigars are very loosely rolled though which does cause some burn issues but nothing major. I like these as well as the Partagas Black cigars.
These are GREAT cigars. I was kind of skeptical after reading all the reviews out there, but honestly I give them a 92 at least straight out of the box! They have great draw, great taste from beginning to end, solid construction and at a CI bargain price! I will definitely order them again and again.
Fantastic little maduro cigar. Sweet pleasant aroma, chocolate cocoa notes, medium body. I tried these originaly in Germany, when I was visiting this summer, and was hoping to find them here. Low and behold CI had them, and half the price of what I paid in Germany...So got me 3 boxes, and I will get more. Please don't buy them all, leave me some. :)
Picked this bad boy up at the retail location outside of Cabelas, and for a nice price I might add. What drove me to buy this cigar that I never heard of was the beautiful oily wrapper, which did not disappoint. I placed the cigar on my lips before it was even lit and was overcome with spice and pepper, which told me this was my kind of cigar. The cigar seemed to be very moist though, which I thought would lead to burn issues, but low and behold it burned just fine. This cigar was a nice smoke with no issues and plenty of spice and pepper. I would most definitely recommend it to others, and plan to purchase more myself.
This is just about what I'am looking for in a cigar. Nice flavor, easy draw and it stays lit between puffs.
