Kristoff Criollo

Traditional in every sense.

Kristoff Criollo is made in small-batch fashion in the Dominican Republic utilizing a dark, Nicaraguan Habano Criollo wrapper, a Cuban-seed Dominican binder, and an all Cuban-seed blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a medium-bodied smoke that's layered with subtle notes of cedar, nuts, earth, and spices. It burns slow and true, dishing out a cool, extremely smooth smoke with each puff. And as an added bonus, each Kristoff Criollo comes finished with a Cuban-inspired pigtail and shaggy foot.

Easily one of the best cigars I've ever smoked. Rich, velvety smoke on every draw is the standard, not the exception with these sticks. I'll be getting at least a case a month while in Afghanistan.

Wrapper is mostly a light cedar aroma. I like the shaggy foot and pigtail and its been some time since I smoked any criollo. Right off the bat this cigar rocks. White pepper and citrus notes with a perfectly balanced sharp but smooth smoke. I lit the shaggy foot with some cedar splinters so as always there is a constant undertone of cedar. The draw volume and burn are spot on. The palate retains a crisp citrus acidity with a white pepper tingle lingering long on the finish. Ash fell at the 3rds. I really enjoy the citrus and pepper. The body is medium but the flavor has gone progressively fuller. The spice is kicking in now with some charcoal notes here and there. This cigar has some complexities for sure. The sweetness is an undertone of molasses at times but not on the lips ever. On the palate this is a damn feisty cigar. Plenty if tingle on the tongue. I would simply describe this cigar as sharp and clean on the palate but complex in aroma. Not a leathery cigar at all. It’s a really awesome cigar. 93

Prefer the Kristoff over my normal Cohiba. But found them to split on occasion. But what a great smoke.

Smoked my first one of these over the weekend. I smoked it in the Lancero and the thing was a beast! The first thing I noticed was how immaculate the wrapper was. It was beautiful. The draw was perfect all the way through and it was smooth and creamy from start to finish....
