Macanudo Vintage 2000

Continuing the time-honored legacy of Macanudo's Vintage.

Macanudo Vintage represents the rarest of the Macanudo portfolio. By chance, a growing season might offer the perfect combination of sunshine, rainfall and climate to yield an extraordinary crop of flawless wrapper and filler leaves that exceed the high level of standards established for the Macanudo brand. This only happens once or twice ever 10 or so years, but when it does, Macanudo takes advantage. After being carefully cured, fermented and aged, the best of these leaves are masterfully blended into what is known as the Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection.

Macanudo Vintage 2000 marks the 6th and final vintage blend released for Macanudo. Each leaf used to create this cigar was cultivated in 2000 and patiently aged in Tercio. The wrapper, a stunning Connecticut Shade leaf. The filler, a combination of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Mexican long-leaf tobaccos. The result, a luxurious depth of flavor and aroma that will have your taste buds dancing with delight. A smooth, rich bouquet of flavor smacks the palate in sophisticated form, offering refined hints of cedar and toast. Medium-bodied towards the finish, Macanudo Vintage is a complex blend that will never be replicated.

Quantities are extremely limited. Once they're gone, they're gone for good.

This is hands down my new favorite cigar, ever. I was gifted one while overseas and wouldn't have tried it otherwise simply because of the price but as the saying goes, you definitely get what you pay for with this stick. I had to buy more and haven't been disappointed yet by any of them. I will say I enjoyed the smooth, flavorful draw of the VIII (Robusto) and X (Toro) over the I (Churchill) with this particular Mac though. Seemed to finish off with a sweet, slightly thicker, smoky cedar taste that left me wanting more. The burn held even and kept nicely. Split a box with some friends on a special occasion or to at least give it a try!
