Humo Jaguar

Humo Jaguar, an award winning blend.

So what's Humo Jaguar, you ask? I'll tell you. Each year, a cigar festival is held in Honduras. In 2011, each cigar-maker was asked to prepare a blend for a competition known as 'Humo Jaguar.' Over 200 well-versed panelists tasted each blend taking every aspect of cigar making and enjoyment into consideration. Just like that, the Humo Jaguar was born.

Humo Jaguar hails from Honduras and combines a bold combination of amazing tobaccos. The heart of this blend is comprised of robust Cuban-seed long-fillers from Honduras. A Cuban-esque mixture, secured by a binder from Talanga, then cloaked by a dark and sultry Honduran Oscuro wrapper from the viso priming. The result....aside from award winning, is delicious. A full-bodied, full-flavored, and aromatic display is delivered in balanced fashion, offering deep earthy flavors, ample zest, and a long, rich finish.

Give this stick a few weeks or longer and it turns into a delicious cigar. Some spice, nuttiness, sweetness, smokiness, and coffee. What else could you ask for?

Got this as part of a sampler, and this was not a brand I would have otherwise tried, but for $2 bucks delivered, (Yikes) I bit, and am I ever glad I did, this is a bomb of a cigar, smells wonderful, clean even burn, beautiful wrapper...Wow... Ole Nestor Plasencia Jr hit this one out of the park...You know that guy just doesnt get his propers sometimes... To smoke this is to taste the master blending talents of ole Nestor and believe me this guy has a DEEEEP inventory to pull from... Kudos ...

Decent stick! Smoked one ROTT (robusto), and very enjoyable! Not a lot of complexity, but nice flavor. Reminded me a bit of PDR Reserva Limitada and Nestor plasencia 1844. Coffee, chocolate, wood, and nice spice. I think complexity will improve with age.

Tried the Toro at my local shop and was not dissapointed..I loved how they made the sweet chocolate and coffee flavors alternate through the smoke mixed in the the earthiness and spice..Took me around 30- 1 hr to smoke this as I wanted to enjoy this cigar..Definitely adding this stick to my small, yet wonderful rotation and can't wait to age one of these for a month or two!!
