A small-batch lovely.
Let's face it, Gurkha makes a ton of cigars. Its creator Kaizad Hansotia is well known for buying some of the most expensive tobaccos on the market. Tobaccos that most cigar makers quickly glance over, knowing it's not nearly enough to produce an 'evergreen' blend that'll be around for years to come. However, Kaizad cares more about bringing you a unique cigar experience of the highest caliber, even if it won't be around forever, so he utilizes these fine tobaccos to do just that.
Gurkha Blue Steel is a perfect example. Comprised of toothy Costa Rican maduro wrappers - one of the most expensive leaves on the planet - the Blue Steel was limited to just under 50,000 cigars, total. This is due to the exquisite, extensively aged tobaccos within: a bold blend of Nicaraguan, Honduran, and Colombian long-fillers. Instantly upon lighting, the age of these tobaccos is evident, as your palate is consumed by rich, but mellow nuances. A toasty array of tobacco flavors smacks the palate, followed by a deep series of toast, wood, and earth. The finish lingers long, satisfying the taste buds throughout the cool burn.
