“I love Gurkha cigars almost without exception. Since I first discovered the Costa Rican maduro wrapper on a different cigar, I have found a favorite. Mix that wrapper with a Gurkha cigar and it is just a fabulous combination. I could smoke this cigar all day, everyday.”

“I bought a bundle of 20 torpedoes to try out the blue steel,a very nice smoke, the only problem with these sticks is a couple of them split on me after about an inch of smoking them I had to dry box them for about 12 hours and the problem was solved. A very nice everyday stick I will purchase more next order.”

You don't get a huge smoke output and the few I've smoked had tight draws but overall its a nice medium smoke. Would recommend having one while sitting down. Not a great walk around smoke. Overall one of my favorite gurkhas”

“Hard draw on this cigar. The aroma out of the package smelt like cleaning products. I do not reccomend. There is a reason they are priced very low. Not worth it.”

“At first light, the draw is smooth; not too tight and not too loose. The smoke from the draw is light and airy with a short and slightly dry finish. The foot burns slowly but has plenty of smoke output. I taste nuttiness and woody flavors, possibly oak and cedar. Smokiness and pepper are the flavors from retro-haling; at this point there's not too much spice thru the nose.”

“I'm a novice and this was my 6th cigar ever so take my review for what it's worth, but I have to say I really liked it! The draw was smooth, the burn was consistent, it had a good taste down to the last draw. prior to lighting I tried the draw and I swear I could have tasted a hint of chocolate (like the baking power chocolate - not sweet) but again I'm a novice so new to the whole "taste" aspect. I look forward to trying the other Gurkha I have the Symphony Grand Rothschild. Definitely going to be something I'll smoke again.”

“This is, without a second of thought, my favorite Gurkha. I've been onto them since '09 or '10, still have a mazo of the toros (which I haven't seen offered in yrs) in the humi, and they're exquisite after 3+yrs. Actually prefer them to the Centurian, which can't offer the sweet maduro goodness of the Blue Steel. But I've only been able to afford to enjoy any of those fine cigars thanks to the generous guys at CI!”

“Based on the experiences I've had with some of the other Gurkas I've smoked I had pretty good expectations for these. I picked up a 10 pack of these (actually 2 5-packs) from the auction site. They look, smell and taste quite good. I can't say the same for how they smoke though. I've had 6 of the 10 and of the 6, 4 of them have had VERY TIGHT draws and were barely smokable. The other couple that smoked as expected were really good, well constructed, and smoked very well. I don't know if it was a quality control issue or what not but the rolling seems to be inconsistent and affects the smoking experience. The ones that smoke well are very enjoyable. I hope that the remaining ones that I have are like the good ones that I had.”

“In my opinion it's a good smoke. I did have some problems with my wrapper cracking, and a hard draw on a couple of sticks. It could have been error on my part though, but all-in-all for the price you can't go wrong. That being said, I still give it a 2 thumbs up ! ALOHA !!!”

“I love this stick.. It's smooth... Toasty, chocolate smoke is the best way to describe it. Take it slow... It's too good to be rushed.. Regardless of what people say about Gurkhas... This one is a winner..”
