Gerant's Golden Siesta

An airball of the highest order.

Gerant, like Rip Van Winkle, should have stayed asleep much longer, for smoking this offering will make you wish you were unconscious. Frankly, in comparison with other legendary sleepyheads Gerant is downright Olympian. Indeed, he must have been taking a Golden Siesta at the blending table because these 7"x50 Churchills are so mild and straightforward as to lack any hint of flare. If airballs that are so mild and mellow as to be void of any complexity are what you're looking for - or you want to glom something off that looks good to your moocher buddies...then these Connecticut-wrapped cigars will fit the bill. If you are looking for actual taste, try something else.

Excellent mild cigar
The Golden Siesta is a great mild cigar for all. It is a great smoke from start to finish. Enjoy this cigar with a cold one or while mowing the lawn - hitting a ball into the woods - whatever task or choice of relaxation you chose, this cigar will fit in. Perfect cigar to kickback and relax with a line in the water as well.

Gerant's Golden Siesta Churchill
I found them to be mild for about half of the cigar, but they were not wrapped tight enough and were hard to keep lit. They also wanted to fall apart.

Decent everyday smoke..
As billed, this cigar is not bad as an everyday smoke. If you read the description, you'll know what you're getting into, so no complaints from me. I've used about half to infuse with flavor, so if you can handle that, things is a great cigar to experiment with. I would order again as one to give away to mild users who really don't have a refined pallet as yet.

Siesta? More like fiesta.
I could go for a siesta right now. Gerant's Golden Siesta, that is. Not entirely a "snooze" of a cigar, as the name suggests; this one will encumber your slumber.
Customer Testimonials
Touted as a "mild" cigar and that they indeed are. At a buck a piece it is a decent stick to give to a non-cigar smoker so they have something to smoke while you smoke something stronger and probably a bit more expensive--they will never know! But really, for a dollar a piece these are nice to have around and with a really even burn, they will keep most mild smokers content.
Nice mild cigar. Burns evenly. Great for the person that smokes a couple per day. Can't beat the price. CI is too hard on this cigar in their description.
After reading the reviews from others, I am embarrassed to write that I liked this cigar. Mild smoke, pleasant taste, nice ash, no bite. Cant beat the price....
Ok I bought 5 bundles of some thrifty cigars at CI to try out. I put them all in my Humidor for a cpl months. When i tried this Cigar For $1 a stick I wasn't expecting a lot. But WOW theses are a real nice mild pleasant smoke good even burn very nice construction. I have enjoyed several so far. I think I am going to order another bundle.
I threw a bundle of these in my last order to share with my novice smoking friends . After a couple months rest I smoked one today. Very nice construction, even burn, good ash, very mild pleasant smoke. Great smoke for a $1 stick.
Sounds like a good humidor mate for "Raji's Untimely Demise". Might have to pair this with a good know, something in a plastic gallon jug.
PART II- I have let them sit for a while and they still have no taste. Great "looking" cigar with a good burn and draw on my 2nd stick. One positive note is their is no bad, rancid after taste which I have experienced in a many cigars 10 times the price of a "Sietsa". Save these for when you have cold and can't taste anything anyway.
