E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut Short Run 2012
A short run you don't need to sweat over.
As of late, E.P. Carrillo has been on fire. Not in the literal sense....err at least I hope not, he owes me some money. Joking aside, his recent portfolio has been sizzling, earning a slew of 90+ ratings and Top 25 Cigars of the Year honors. Feats not easily accomplished, even when your name is E.P. Carrillo.
Introducing the new E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut Short Run 2012. An edgy, new limited run cigar that once again showcases E.P. Carrillo’s extraordinary blending talents. From first light, the New Wave Short Run ’12 starts out mild to medium in body thanks to its golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, and retains a well-balanced array of creamy and smooth flavors. As the slow burn progresses, it methodically shifts into a meaty medium body that dances on the edge of full, as the rich Nicaraguan and Panamanian fillers come into play, bringing forth a complex bouquet of cedar, natural sweetness, and nuts accented by gentle spices. Also involved in the fray, is a flavorful Connecticut broadleaf binder that beautifully brings out the best in the fillers and wrapper. E.P. Carrillo says this is the best Short Run yet, I couldn’t agree more.
Fun Fact: The E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut Short Run 2012 utilizes the same long-fillers and binder from the E.P. Maduro, and the same wrapper from the E.P. New Wave Connecticut.
