E.P. Carrillo New Wave

Enter the New Wave from E.P. Carrillo.

Looking for a sophisticated, Connecticut-wrapped cigar that's bold yet mellow? E.P. Carrillo has what you need. The 91-rated New Wave is a gorgeous, mild to medium-bodied morsel from cigar-maker Ernesto Perez-Carrillo....originally of La Gloria Cubana fame. To create New Wave, a silky-smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper that's seamless in appearance was hand-selected, then carefully placed upon a vintage recipe of Cuban-seed long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican. Smooth and creamy nuances smack the palate from start to finish, leaving behind a toasty array of leather and sweet tobacco with each puff. The finish is long but refined, completing a savory everyday handmade from one of the industry's premier cigar artisans.

E.P. Carrillo New Wave received a solid 91-point rating, in addition to a '90,' noting: "Richly hued with a golden-brown wrapper. This small cigar has an easy draw that imparts some leather flavor, toastiness and a slight sweetness. Balanced."

Customer Reviews of “E.P. Carrillo New Wave”
Smoking a El Decano gifted to me by my Daughter(Trained her from a young girl) very nice smooth cigar - I am a Perdomo guy and this is almost like a Champagne. EP is noted for his bold blends and this cigar is his answer to the mild/med guys - a little pricey (I looked it up) - if C/I puts these on special jump all over this one - I will.

I just finished my first cigar in the E.P. Carrillo New Wave line. I had a Divinos and it was very good. Nice healthy draw, lots of rich flavor-packed smoke. It stayed consistent most of the way through. Not a bad cigar for the price. You won't be disappointed.

I recently bought five coronas and was not all that satisfied. White pepper dominated the length of this cigar and notes of toasted nuts develop a third way down. Lacking any real depth I feel maybe the larger ring gauges might even out this overall well balanced and nicely constructed cigar. Im hoping the four I will store form a nice marriage with rest of my collection.

Best cigar that I have ever smoked! Very smooth and it burns very good! I'd recommend to anybody!

This is a great mild to medium bodied cigar. Easy pull, flavors consistent throughout the smoke, I will buy these again and again!!

This is only my second experience with the EPC line but I have been smoking the LGC for a few years now and love them. EPC has done an amazing job and the New Wave is no exception. Smooth, semi-sweet, great draw and nice clean ash all indicative of a quality cigar.I'm now hooked as a EPC fan and have just purchased the INCH as well.
