Cohiba Puro Dominicana

Ready yourself, this one's got some kick!

The Cohiba Puro Dominicana cigar brings the heat. This is a flavorful sucker, an enchanting cigar that is purely Dominican, a 100% puro, one blended to provide a full-bodied, full-flavored profile that is purely Cohiba. Cohiba Puro Dominicana is robust and eventful, thanks to an oily Dominican natural wrapper that cloaks a bold recipe of Dominican long-fillers. To maximize these tobaccos, each and every hand of tobacco was patiently aged 'en tercio', within charcoaled wooden barrels producing a satisfying, oaky flavor with ample spice that's smooth and balanced throughout. Powerful, yet refined and elegant, this is the Cohiba cigar you've been asking for!

Customer Reviews of “Cohiba Puro Dominicana”
“Good cigar but not the standout I thought it would be for a (Cohiba Puro Dominicana) . I was expecting something unique like an OpusX. No very complex. Pretty straight forward medium bodied smoke with warm spice. One dimensional.”
RF of San Pedro, CA
“I got this cigar in a recent sampler order with several other great cigars. I was disappointed with this cigar and much prefer the standard "red dot" Cohiba robusto. This one had a slightly tighter draw than I like, the burn was uneven throughout, and it was much less smooth than I expected; it left an unexpected ashy taste in my mouth, which shouldn't be present in such a "high-end" offering. That being said, it's still better than most average cigars, but I would NEVER pay retail for this one. My only hope is that most that would come in a full box would be far superior to this example.”
JV of Auburn, WA
“This cigar carries a retail price of upwards of $20. For that kind of money I'd expect a good cigar and this one is good. The downside is I absolutely could not keep the thing burning evenly which spoils the experience somewhat. Appearance and flavour? Both nice. But frankly, there are a lot of cigars for a lot less money that I enjoy more. I've often said that a cigar is either good or not good and price shouldn't come into the equation. I still believe that. This one was a Cigar of the Month Club selection and for that reason it was worth the money? Would I actually buy another one? In a word, no.”
MM of Leesburg, VA
“Well constructed (Cohiba Puro Dominicana), with a dark brown wrapper. A more full bodied smoke than the cohiba flagship, but rather uneventful as far a taste goes; It starts off with a charcoal taste at first, then develops into a slightly sweet leather taste. A good cigar that's not worth the price tag in my book. I expected more from a Cohiba.”
CB of San Diego, CA
“Best cigar I've ever smoked (Cohiba Puro Dominicana). Cohiba is known for quality and this thing is nothing less than a perfectly crafted cigar. It wasn't over bearing for that first inch and a half, in the mid section it got really mellow all the way back to the nub. I didn't want to put it down! I think I may have to order a box of the Robusto's...”
LD of Sacramento, CA
“Just wanted to add, the Robusto (5.5" x 50) smoked for about 2 1/2 hours.”
DM of Washington, DC
“Nice cigar but kinda uneventful. Although it's listed as full I didn't think it was that strong. Unlike some of the previous reviews, I didn't have any issues with the burn or the taste. Mine burned evenly and slowly. I too got one as part of a sampler. Again nice, but you can definitely get more bang for your buck with something else.”
DM of Washington, DC
“As most of the reviews state this cigar is more medium bodied as opposed to a full body stick. So far all of these sticks that I have smoked have all had over a year on them with the exception of one. The one that had not rested long was very one dimensional, but I tell you these sticks are great with age much like an OPUS X. I would agree that the box price is steep but when these are in samplers and the price is right they are worth it.”
JK of SNYDER, NY
“My second Cohibsa Puro Dominica. Not So hot. Pricey but just average. Dry. but well constructed. Obviously full bodied, but not great flavor. So many others are better at lower prices. I think Cohiba is resting on the brand. Red dot much better.”
