Gurkha Black Ops Habano

Armed to the teeth.

If you bring a knife to a gunfight, good luck, because chances are things won’t turn out so well for you. Luckily, Black Ops Habano makes its debut fully equipped. Boasting top-notch tobaccos, slick packaging, and a price that will have you singing Two by Two, there’s a lot to get stoked for. I’m willing to bet these are going to turn into a celebrity overnight.

Black Ops Habano comes dressed in an oily, golden-brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and is generously filled with aged Nicaraguan long-fillers. This recipe results in a medium to full-bodied blend overflowing with flavor. Expect rich, Cuban-esque notes of earth, coffee, and nuts before a peppery, slightly sweet finish.

Smooth burning & taste
Very smooth burning cigar. Not a heavy smoke and finishes nicely. Great price for the smoke.

Black ops Habano
One of my favorite smokes.

Very good cigar
Wasn't sure what to expect with these. After the initial lighting, I found the draw to be smooth the burn was slow and even, and the taste was exceptional !! Medium to slightly strong for me. Great for grilling as it is slow burning. Will be ordering these again.

Good for all occasions
Seems to be a consistant smoke, at least for me. Once in awhile you get one that is hard to draw but for the price, can't beat them. Always a pleasant smoke.

Good flavorful smoke.
I like the Black Ops a lot. There is a firmness to the cigar and a richness to the flavor that just hits me right. Full flavored without being over-powering. This cigar is a good smoke from beginning to end.

I rank Gurkha as one of the top labels in my humidor, and the Black Ops NEVER disappoints. Both the Habano, and the Maduro are incredible. Always on my list of "go to" cigars.

Good flavor, good strength.
First received Black Ops in a random CI sampler and liked them enough to order a sampler with all 3 wrappers. Construction is always good - great draw every time, never fall apart on me, good ash. Smoking the Habano now after reviewing the Connecticut. "Rich, Cuban-esque notes of earth, coffee, and nuts before a peppery, slightly sweet finish" - pre lightup it smelled a bit like milk chocolate to me. First few puffs were mild pepper and spice, opening up to more of a dark chocolate with some coffee and nuts. 1/3 of the way it is now richer with some earth. 2/3 it's rich and now I get that cuban-esque description. Overall, the best of the 3 Black Ops wrapper choices IMO.

Very Disappointed....
I don't like writing negative reviews for any item(s) I've purchased, but just could not avoid this one! These smokes were not typical of ANY other Gurkha products I've ever smoked. After the first 4 or 5 smoked & sharing a couple with my neighbor, I just dumped them. The burn had an offensive creosote like smell and the taste was similar... Lots of canoeing on each of the sticks and each one started as soon as the burn reached the first 1/2"...

Good Cigar for the price
Never had a crooked burn, never had a cracked or vented wrapper. Good cigar, 1/2-1/3 of the cigars in the bundle the draw was HARD. Strong cigar flavor, kicks pretty hard, loved 'em.

Reliable and tasty
I've purchased several bundles of this cigar over the past year or so. The torpedo shape is one of my favorites for this blend, and it has a pleasant aroma and good taste. Very reliable, overall. Great for any activity, whether it's relaxing, driving or just mowing.

Gurkha Black Ops Habano
Decent for a cheap cigar. Exactly what I expected. Burns fast, but evenly and has a fair Habano flavor. Not as good as other Habanos that I've had. Recommend for novice smokers or just a quickie smoke. Not something I would smoke on a regular basis.

Cool Band, Dry Sticks
The cigars are generally good, however you will need to let them rest much longer than in the past. All CI cigars have been arriving unbelievably dry over the past year. Not sure why...

Great smoke! Not to heavy, not too light, perfect with a cup of coffee

Good smoke with smooth flavor and no bite. Burns fairly even with a good draw. Recommend it highly!

Ghurka Black Ops
Decent cigar, especially for the money. Great taste. Occasionally ran into one that had a hard spot and didn't want to stay light until past that spot.

Give These a Shot !
This Black Ops Churchill Habano is Quite tasty, burns very straight, draw is more than acceptable. I'd call this a full bodied-full flavored dandy of a cigar for it's price range. Got mine on a " MMAO " thing.

You get exactly what you pay for
Good reviews of this must come from people who are not used to good cigars. I bought a bundle after reading reviews expecting something decent for the money. I keep my humidor at 67%rh and these cigars still burn uneven. Not only that, but the only part of these cigars that doesn't taste like asphalt and pepper is the last third which mellowed to pepper and milky taste. Of the 7 I have had so far, 2 of them fell apart in the last third. No other cigars I'm my humidor do this and I have other higher end gurkha cigars in there. If yoy buy these buy them purely as a cheap smoke they are not even good quality and are about exactly what you pay for, a three dollar cigar.

We had a large group that all smoke cigars on a regular basis everyone thought these where pretty good. Smoked for about an hour and had many different flavors. For the price you can't beat this cigar

Gurkha Black ops
Cigars were a bit below expectations as far as Gurkha products go. Burn was uneven on several. Taste was good but not great. Will pass on a second try . . . .

Gurkha Black Ops Habano Churchill
Good cigar. I like how it draws easily and burns consistently. A little more mild than I usually like, but a good smoke nonetheless. Would recommend.
Customer Testimonials
Ouch, I took a stinger on these cigars. Definitely not my kinda cigar; spicy and boring. If you are a Gurhka fan you may like them. A good hand out to the cigar bums at work. The 1st batch I got unraveled on the 1st cigar. CI as always was customer satisfaction and sent me another bundle. I should have taken a rain check.
This cigar can not be beat for the price. It burned perfectly and was smooth and cool down to the nub. I especially enjoyed how the habano wrapper complimented the flavors instead of stomping all over the palate with brutal spices like some habano wrappers tend to do.
One of my favorites, as a daily smoke. Mild and smooth all the way to the nub. I do recommend anyone to give them a try. There made by the same makers of Gurkha. It has to be good cigar.
I've been enjoying the Black Ops Maduros for a while now. I prefer maduro over habano so I did not consider buying the Black Ops Habanos. Then one day a bundel of these gems showed up in my humi, as my girl ordered them as a suprise. I had been out of cigars for a while so I instantly pulled one out of the bundle and sparked her up. Nice and sweet. Excellent burn and draw. Really good for the price!! I still like the maduros better, but that is just me. These Black Ops cigars are a great value!! Nuff said.
I picked some of these up just to try due to the price, and I must say no regrets. Very smooth, great tasting cigar, with a light sweet taste on top. It does seem to burn a bit fast for the size, but that's no big deal, for the price you can't afford not to fire up another. Wish I had a t-shirt with the logo. It has pretty much taken over my daily cigar spot.
Really good after sitting for a week or so. Tons of smoke and excellent burn. Perfect strength and the Churchill is just enough to leave you satisfied. Now one of my regulars.
Out of the three flavors, this was the best. However, it was still just average at best. For the price of these, you can do a lot better.
Saw the 5-pack Churchills on CB for $9.00 and almost passed them up. I'm glad I didn't! Its complexity lies in its simplicity. By that, I mean this cigar is full of toasty flavors and spice, and it simply taste delicious! I would keep these in my humidor all the time, but it's so hard at the rate I smoke them!
Good smoke! Flavor, draw and ash more than acceptable. For the price this cigar is a bargin.
These cigars just aren't anything special. I mean, they're okay for yardwork and maybe playing a golf course, but overall they're just pretty okay.
It was okay. I mean, okay as in, it didn't suck. Was it good? Not for me.
Great cigar! I was pleasantly surprised by these bad boys! Cant beat the price but, would be nice to find these in 5 or 10 packs.
Easily one of the best Cigars I have tried. I grabbed the sampler for my first order from CI and will most definitely be ordering a box of these ASAP.
My new Favorite cigar !!!! I just got these babies and was worried cause they say you get what you pay for. Well this an awesome deal better then a lot of the 90+ rated cigars I have had. Full of flavor nice draw even burn and consistent through the whole smoke. Might have to get a bigger Humidor to stock up on them.
Love these cigars. Kept them in my humidor for a month or so at 65 and they are great. Great draw, even burn, with a spicy undertone, with a little power towards the end. Smoking these help me stay up later while playing a favorite video game in my man cave. Buy these, you won't be disappointed! And a buck for a three torch lighter... CI does it again.
These Black Ops Habano's are OUTSTANDING, just returned to the good ol USA a few months ago from the sandbox. I saw the add for the new Gurka brand Black Ops and had to get online and order a bundle, they are now among my favorites from CI. Great just after dinner for a little relaxing time on the pourch, going to reorder another bundle as soon as I finish with this review. Thanks CI for continuing to have such superior products and service.
These black ops were really good and I do plan on buying some more. I had the Habano ones and I will try them all because they are good and the lighter works really good. My co-workers and I have a cigar every shift at the station when we have a chance
:) Feel like I stole something! Bought a bundle of these bad boys to hand out at a golf tournament I'm holding, supporting Wounded Warrior Project, and just "test drove" one. "Splurged" a whole dollar for the excellent lighter too. Punched, lit and drew. Mmmmmm. Yup. Not a premium, but not an Alien-blood lung burner, either! Recommend!
