Retail Store Associates

Location: Bethlehem Super Store
Reports To: Management Team Members
We have an immediate need for or outgoing, friendly, highly motivated individuals who can take control of their career and go beyond today's standards to provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible. In addition to our Historic Downtown Bethlehem Factory Outlet location, we expanded to a 2nd Lehigh Valley location, a 5,000 square foot superstore in Bethlehem Township (PA).

Full and part time opportunities for Experienced and Entry level associates are available at both locations. Retail experience preferred but not required. This is an open environment that demands initiative and imagination from all team members. You will gain experience in all aspects of the business including but not limited to sales, merchandise presentation, in store events, customer service and all operational functions within the store location.

Bartenders/Cocktail Waitresses/Waiters

Location: Hamburg Super Store
Reports To: Retail Manager

We have an immediate need for outgoing, friendly and highly motivated individuals who will take control of their career and go beyond today's standards to provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible. We are now opening our 4th Retail location in Hamburg, PA. This cigar retail Mega Store will be over 8,000 square feet. This location will be added to our highly successful and expanding Retail Division.

This is an open environment that demands initiative and imagination from all team members. You will gain experience in all aspects of the business including, but not limited to, customer focus, in store events, customer service and all operational functions within the retail store location. Candidates will have a willingness to “do what it takes” to get that job done and have fun! Providing the customer with the best cigar experience is our retail mission and is key to the success of the division, organization and your future career success.

Bartenders are responsible for providing drinks and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar.

Cocktail Waitresses/Waiters are responsible for taking orders and serving beverage items to customers in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner while using suggestive and selling techniques.

Event Planner Administrator

Department: Retail
Location: Corporate Headquarters
Reports To: Events Manager
We have an immediate need for a high caliber, friendly and highly motivated Event Planner Administrator who is willing to go beyond today’s standards as a member of our Events Team to assist with the management and planning major internal and external events. Responsible to support the planning and executing of internal and company-sponsored events including our 6,000 customer CIGARfest, Retail Stores, Wholesale, and trade-show events and other ad hoc events and functions such as employee recognition events (work location events and holiday parties). You will work with the Director of Retail Operations, the Event Planner and other Senior and Departmental leaders to collaboratively plan high quality events and functions; will help identify and facilitate discussion and decisions about issues affecting each event; and will ensure that high standards and companywide priorities are reflected in the planning and presentation of events.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Support end-to-end event planning from initial concept to final execution and evaluation: including corporate, company-sponsored, and retail customer events, as well as, meeting and internal special events coordination.
  • Work with the events planner to create new and creative events with emphasis on our cigar customer demographic.
  • Cooperative leadership of our yearly 6,000 customer CIGARfest weekend (www.cigarfest.org)
  • Cooperative leadership in supporting growth in social media and event email tool as it pertains to Retail store events
  • Support wholesale division with trade show, event planning, and logistics.
  • Support in the management and planning of associate recognition programs and events
  • Actively participate in debriefs of projects and events including pre/post analysis of goals and objectives, assess opportunities and marketing concepts, update databases, finalize project plans and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Attend events as an event coordinator to oversee event logistics
  • Set up contact, event components and suppliers for price quotes/contracts including but not limited to musical performers, tents, audio visual and caterers.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Requirements/Core Competencies
  • This is a role for an individual with college-level education and 3-5 years of equivalent experience
  • Qualified candidates must possess computer skills with ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software, and knowledge of desktop production and database systems. Strong Microsoft Office skills, with particular focus on Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: letter composition, grammar, punctuation, proofreading
  • Ability to plan and execute your own work and coordinate with others to meet individually or attend group or event meetings
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills including the ability to multi-task, retain information and utilize critical thinking skills
  • Ability to formulate creative ideas, develop innovative approaches and ideas and to analyze, evaluate and negotiate details reflective of successful events
  • Enjoy a very fast-paced work environment with a culture of high expectations and have the ability to adapt to a changing work environment, react and work well under pressure and be deadline driven
  • Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs, including evening and weekend events
  • Demonstrated basic project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage details of multiple and complex projects within firm schedules, set priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of activities or job duties, and effectively carry out event goals in a manner that enhances the image of our organization
  • Basic understanding of fiscal and budget management, with the ability to monitor event budgets, anticipating costs of production, technical, and promotional needs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to support vision, motivation and guidance to all leaders and staff
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as to serve as a key member of the event planning function.

  • Willing to work nights and weekends & holidays based on business need
  • Willing to travel
