Web Analytics Specialist

Department: Marketing

Job Description:

The ideal candidate is one that has a strong B2C web analytics background, is an articulate, technically-minded individual with good business acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills. You should have strong hands-on technical skills with at least 3 years of experience – preferably working with an Adobe Omniture analytics suite. This individual should have experience developing measurement and data driven strategies across all aspects of a direct to consumer e-commerce environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Consult with business teams and make recommendations to continually improve website performance by analyzing client browse and purchase behavior, competitive data and industry trends.
  • Establish appropriate key performance indicators and develop a reporting infrastructure that allows key stakeholders consistent visibility into overall channel performance.
  • Coordinate with design, IT, marketing and merchandising on various quantitative A/B and multivariate tests across multiple web properties and devices.
  • Maintain a web testing schedule.
  • Perform qualitative usability testing on new onsite features and functionality.
  • Promote both offsite and onsite activities and also the interactions that build search ranking and quality traffic including search engine optimization, content optimization, and conversion rate optimization techniques and tactics.
  • Oversee all web analytics tools to ensure accurate implementation and appropriate level of exposure, adoption, and utilization.
  • Prioritize all ad hoc reporting requests based on potential business value.
  • Measure and evaluate all major online initiatives including natural search, social media, and traditional media.
Key Competencies/Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in business or quantitative field
  • 3+ years web analytics experience using Omniture/Site Catalyst (Coremetrics, WebTrends. TeaLeaf, or Google Analytics experience will be considered.)

Marketing Data Analyst

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a B2C Marketing Data Analyst who is an articulate, technically-minded individual with good business acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills. You should have strong hands-on technical skills with at least 4 years of experience – preferably with a strong familiarity with email marketing, CRM, customer lifecycle management, project management, segmentation, response analysis and campaign tracking. Candidate must be able to present findings in a clear and presentable fashion that meets the end user’s needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for data preparation, data analysis, campaign execution, report building, etc.
  • Prepare written analysis and present findings to internal and external clients.
  • Work with other staff members to satisfy internal clients’ database marketing needs.
  • Consistency in delivering error-free work, on time, at standards that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Develops reports and queries from databases for distribution to management and to assist in decision making. Provides regular reporting support to Marketing, Merchandising, Sales and Distribution teams.
  • Monitor and report marketing campaign performance for paid search, email marketing, affiliate marketing, print catalog campaigns, and multivariate testing.
  • Develop key findings summaries on trends, insights, forecasts, and plans with management level recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of customer migration and buying behavior.
  • Coordinate data feeds and updates.
Key Competencies/Requirements:
  • Ability to query databases and perform statistical analysis.
  • Well-developed quantitative skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proven ability to retrieve and manipulate data using SQL/SQL based programs and/or utilize SQL Reporting Services or similar programs.
  • Independent thinker, logical, strategic, with a high focus and attention to detail.
  • Degree preferred in quantitative field.
  • Demonstrable experience as B2C Analyst.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience with data analysis, measurement reporting, and campaign design.
  • Experience with CRM software a plus.

Promotional Planner

Department: Marketing

Job Description:

The selected candidate will develop, execute and analyze catalog and holiday promotions, as well as other related promotional activity. He/she will proactively learn about our market, understand our target audiences, coordinate with Merchandising, Design, IT, Warehouse and Contact Center as well as external vendors, and execute all assignments in a timely fashion according to project deadlines, while demonstrating initiative and accuracy. 

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Mail plans
    • Develop and analyze segmentation including prospecting for catalog and fulfillment promotions across multiple business units. Work with data analyst on programming and segmentation capabilities.
    • Review and approve Merge/Purge reports.
    • Review and approve inkjet sample checks from print vendor.
    • Negotiate, purchase and manage paper inventory based on catalog requirements for each business unit.
    • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to catalog printing and list processing. Check and process invoices on all related projects.
    • Create and manage schedules.
    • Maintain matchback reporting.
    • Manage third-party blow-in program.
    • Participate in circulation planning and budgeting.
  • Squinch (Square inch analysis)
    • Verify print catalog matches product list.
    • Calculate cost per page.
    • Run reports, mark catalogs, and maintain historical data.
    • Consult with business teams and make recommendations to continually improve performance by analyzing internal results, competitive data and industry trends.
  • Holiday Planning - Develop, communicate, and implement holiday plans for all business units.
    • Review past results.
    • Determine new offers and feasibility.
    • Create promotional plan to be disseminated throughout the organization.
    • Manage development of and proof promotional materials.
    • Ensure proper inventory levels.
    • Monitor implementation and switchover from promotion to promotion.
    • Set up promotions within internal systems.
    • Report on results.
  • Package Insert Program (PIP)
    • Create and manage package insert schedule
    • Manage vendor relationship with printer including bidding each job out
    • Coordinate free samples with merchandising team.
    • Manage inventory of print materials and product samples.
    • Coordinate with internal content providers, including merchandising, copy writers, photography, IT and graphic design, to ensure on-time production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree (preferably in Business, Economics or Mathematics).
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and implementing marketing promotions.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to monitor promotions outside of core business hours.
  • Responsive to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Comfortable working independently and escalate issues as needed.
